Summer????

This has been a VERY busy summer. I know everyone says it, but I think out of the last 10 weekends we have been home only 2 or 3 of them, that is a lot of traveling! We are surviving, but only by a little bit. We had a great time at Kolacky Days. Grandma and Grandpa had pools set up for the boys, they loved them. They also enjoyed the kiddie parade, the blow-up "rides" (inflatable jumping castles, joust and a caterpillar) and the big parade on Sunday. It was a great time with family and friends!! This weekend we will be heading back to Montgomery for a family wedding. That makes 3 of 4 that we have this year. Could anyone else in our life get married? It seems to be the year of weddings...more time to spend with family, not so friendly on the pocket book. We have enjoyed ourselves so far, especially at Erin and Shawn's, or so I'm told. Wink, wink to those of you that were there, or may have heard about it. I'm only going to say that that is the only time in my live that has happened and I hope its the last!? Needless to say I was not feeling too well after that function, but I had FUN!? There will not be a repeat of that ever!!

I can't believe that summer is almost over?! I hope everyone is having a great summer, like us, but with less travel!?

God Bless!

Holy smokes....

Ok so as I stated in my first blog, I wasn't sure how this was going to work. And as you can see so far I've dropped the ball completely!!! I could use the excuse that I've been too busy, but we all know that there are those nights that I've gotten absorbed into some crazy show or reading a book (yes I read, sometimes.) and so I haven't blogged. I also am not sure what to put out there. Life here has been pretty boring. Work, kids, work, kids, sleep, visit family, work and sleep, kids. I think you get the picture.
This weekend we'll be in Montgomery, MN for the annual Kolacky Days festivities. The boys are looking forward to seeing grandma and grandpa and the rest of the fam, and so am I. It has been quite a change to not have everyone close by to visit when we pleased. Anyways for those of you that don't know, a kolacky is basically a bun with filling...like apricot, raspberry, poppy seed, prune (yuck..sorry for those that enjoy them), apple, etc. They originated from Czechoslovakia and started out open faced. In time the wives discovered that if they folded the corners in and baked them that way, then the filling didn't get all over the husbands lunch pail. They do not sound like a great treat, but they are quite tasty, and sort of expensive. Therefore we will only eat a few. It amazed me my first year at Kolacky Days that the town celebration focused on a bun with filling, but it is a huge deal. The town doubles and some years triples in size and there is a full weekend of festivities. It is great time, especially the beer garden and dances Friday and Sat night. Will be lonely without Andy, but I will make the best of it! There will be enough people there to keep me company, especially since I have a bachelorette party to attend!!!?
OK so I feel like I've bored you enough so I'll call it night. Until next time....God Bless!

Here we go......

Hello to all! I'm not sure how this is going to go, but I am hoping to keep everyone updated on how we are doing through this blog. I'd like to update it daily, but with the boys and work that might be near to impossible. So for now I'm going to try weekly and see how that goes?! I hope you enjoy the entries and we can't wait to read your comments!
Welcome to our blog and God Bless!
